Abstract
The use of Integrative and Complementary Practices (PIC) as public health policies is an event of contemporary culture in the field of health, which has been gradually implemented by health organizations around the world. However, little is understood about how these distinct fields, namely: the alternative field of PIC and the field of military health, can establish a relationship that transcends their boundaries, due to being historically rooted institutes with cultures that are opposed by what is perceived in the eyes of society in general. Therefore, it is important to observe how the inclusion of the use of PIC and, more precisely, hypnotherapy, in contemporary police institutions, can contribute to the quality of military agent's health. As for the methodology, the research will be qualitative, focusing on the content in a subjective way, characterizing itself as an exploratory research, in the field of professional development and worker health in public safety, given the need to know the implications of the use of PIC and, more specifically, hypnotherapy, in Espaço Viver Bem (EVB), with the aim of achieving the general objective of the research, focusing on understanding the role of integrative practices in promoting mental health and caring for agents of police institutions, through a bibliographical review, observing original articles available in full in online format, on the topic relating to the proposed objective and articles in Portuguese and also in English. Therefore, through the knowledge built in the research, it was possible to observe that the inclusion of hypnotherapy as a PIC in the PMPB EVB has a significant potential to positively impact the treatment of professionals who use the service it provides.
